Entice Basic Butter Biscuit using Entice Biscuit Flour

ingredients

230g Butter

224g (280 ml) (1 cup plus 2Tbs) Sugar (Light Brown)

2 Eggs

620g (1125ml) (4 ½ cups) Entice Gluten Free Biscuit Flour

10 ml, 2tsp Honey

75 ml, 5Tbs Water, or less for a stiffer dough

Optional Extras Ginger Biscuit: 42g (90ml) ginger plus 18g (6 ml) mixed spice

Optional Extras Almond: 180g (2 ¼ cups) chopped almonds and 1tsp vanilla essence
A lovely gluten free biscuit, you can bake a softer or crunchier cookie by adding more or less water to the dough. Roll out the dough and cut shapes with a cookie cutter or form little balls by hand and press with a fork. Add the flavours of your choice. Divide the dough into 3 and flavour each one differently, you never run out of options, it never gets boring. This is a constant treat in our house. And the flour is a high protein flour, which is a bonus.


Methods
- Preheat the oven to 170 degC
- With a mixer, cream the butter and sugar until pale
- Add the egg and mix in, then the honey and water. Mix until combined.
- Slowly add the flour and mix until a soft dough.
- Add any of the optional extras if desired
- Onto a greased baking sheetm roll dough into small balls and press flat with a fork . OR
- Rollwith a rolling pin and press shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Bake for approx 15 min or until golden
